Post-YPT ASAP Meeting Minutes!

attendance: lily, peter, sarah, victoria, max, julie, vrinda, emily, sarah, briana, and raele

WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT:
-it was very good having a guest speaker
-the macaroni was OUTSTANDING
Workshops:
      -Media: good to talk about the personal effects and effects on teens
      -Environment: good information but WHAT NEXT? good follow up to this workshop below
      -Maybe have one workshop dealing with the UN?
      -Two workshops are better than three because you have bigger groups and more discussion. 
-**Max knows how to fly**
-Hasslelines good because you get to argue something you might now agree with. This is good because it is truly analyzing situations... one thought: maybe it would be good to have this in the beginning because it also acts as an ice breaker. 
-Maybe we should open by talking about current war situations?

OTHER MATTERS:
-Monthly Meetings: all come together to discuss one specific topic (prepared) for example the war in Iraq.

OTHER IDEAS: (upcoming)
-Environmental clean up
-another movie night
-volunteer speaker more often
-encourage garden/peace clubs at school (maybe make a flyer for this)
